How we install
What happens to your car
- Your film is plotter-cut by software to your car's exact window pattern. No blades on the glass.
- We fully decontaminate the glass and clean the gaskets and rubber trim.
- Anything that can't get wet gets covered.
- We install with a gel that pushes out dust and hair before the film sets. That's what keeps specks and bubbles out.
- We meter the front windows before you pick up.

Florida tint law
- Front side windows: 28% or lighter, film and glass measured together.
- Behind the driver on cars: 15% or lighter on the rear sides and back window.
- Behind the driver on SUVs, trucks and vans: 6% or lighter.
- Windshield: only a non-reflective strip above the AS-1 line, unless you have a medical exemption.

Window tint questions
Is full windshield tint legal in Florida?
No. Florida only allows a non-reflective strip at the top of the windshield, above the AS-1 line, unless you have a medical exemption from FLHSMV. A light or clear film on the full windshield is still outside the law. We sell windshield film and we will always tell you this before you buy.
How dark can I tint in Florida?
28% on the front side windows (film and glass measured together), 15% on the rear of sedans, and 6% on the rear of SUVs, trucks and vans. We meter the fronts before pickup.
Is ceramic tint worth it over carbon?
Every film we sell blocks 99% of UV. Ceramic is about heat: carbon rejects about 30% of infrared heat, CXP about 77%, CIR about 85% and Evolve 95%. Same darkness, a lot less heat.
What warranty comes with the tint?
SunTek CXP, CIR and Evolve carry a lifetime national warranty honored at any SunTek or LLumar dealer. Our carbon film (MAX Carbon) has a lifetime warranty against fading, peeling and cracking.
Will tint mess with my phone, GPS or toll pass?
No. Our carbon film is non-metal. Our ceramic films are non-metal too. Neither one blocks radio, GPS or cell signals.
Do you cut the film on my car?
No. Every piece is plotter-cut by software to your car's exact window pattern before it touches the glass. No blades on your windows.
How much is the deposit for tint?
$20 holds your appointment and comes off the total.
Do you do a visor strip?
Yes. A visor strip at the top of the windshield is legal in Florida as long as it stays above the AS-1 line. It is free with a full tint (sides and back, or more). On anything smaller it is a paid add-on.
